What is Silhak?
It was a Korean Confucian social reform movement in the late Joseon Dynasty. Korean Confucianism is a form of Confucianism that emerged and developed in Korea. Silhak is also spelled Sirhak. Sil means "actual" or "practical" and hak means "studies" or "learning", also means "practical learning". The creation of silhak was made when japan had made war with them and that time Joseon Dynasty was having a hard time. To prevent all from trouble, some of the philosophers named it "silhak" it was a new education that made to help the poor.
